Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was bitten by a dog at St James’ Park on Locksway Road.
The woman, who is in her 40s, was walking her dog when she was bitten shortly after 5pm on Tuesday 26 April.
It was reported to us that a number of dogs approached her and started trying to attack her dog. As she picked the dog up she was also bitten, receiving injuries to her arms and back. She was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
Officers attended and spoke to people at the scene however believe there may have been a number of people in the park at the time that are yet to speak to.
