Police have closed the junction of Outram Road and Victoria Road North following a serious incident with a cyclist
It’s understood the incident happened shortly after 9.15am in which a cyclist has suffered serious injuries after falling from her bicycle.
Paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service and Specialist Medics from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Critical Care Team are in attendance, it’s understood that the cyclist came off her bicycle at the junction which caused serious facial injuries.
Local officers are managing a cordon that has been placed at the junction.
Officers from Hampshire Roads Policing unit are currently at the scene investigating the incident.
Police are advising motorists to avoid the area whilst they carry out investigations.
